It contains plant-based surfactants that penetrate oily soils. The alkaline mineral builder increases the alkalinity of the formula so that it works better at removing organic soils such as food and oils. It also contains a preservative derived from chicory root that keeps the ingredients fresh and longer-lasting. The scent comes from extracts and essential oils of grapefruit, orange, spearmint, and rosemary which provide a fresh scent without phthalates.
